Yokomo YD-2Z Assemble Kit - DP-YD2Z

The YD-2, which can be said to be synonymous with rear-wheel drive drift cars, has now undergone a major evolution! This new model, named after the "Z" shape, is equipped with a new three-speed gearbox on the unique main chassis and is officially launched as a new standard model!

A new integrated bulkhead is used at the front, which improves handling by balancing left and right steering. In addition, a sliding rack, including a new upper deck, is also available as standard, allowing the steering characteristics to be adjusted to various situations with minimal modifications.

The gearbox of the three-speed gearbox has also been completely redesigned, greatly improving ease of maintenance by dividing it into three parts. The differential can be operated by simply removing the cover on the rear side, so the ball differential can be easily operated even with frequent maintenance. In addition, the motor mount rotation feature allows you to select the motor position from 13 levels, making it easier to balance the center of gravity suitable for low-mount to high-mount roads. The 3rd gear throttle response is excellent, coupled with the rear-wheel traction brought by the flexible main chassis, it will show unimaginable combat effectiveness!

The suspension area inherits the regular parts, so optional parts can be continued.

The new front divider features a one-piece resin molding that weighs about half the weight of an aluminum divider, significantly reducing the weight of the front.

The upper deck is compatible with the installation of an inverted servo on a slide rack as standard. The servo mount on the back side is also made of resin.

From low to high mount, it is possible to select the position of the motor from 13 levels with the top shaft as the axis. (There is a limit to the gear ratio when low mounting)

Depending on the position of the motor, the rear brace can be reversed and attached. It is possible to change the degree of freedom in the layout of the mechanism and the pitching rigidity.

By using two types of battery holders, it is possible to install batteries from short-size Li-po to standard-size batteries.

Height-adjustable oil shock is standard equipment. Combined with all-round type springs, it securely captures the road surface.

Responsive 3-gear transmission. The gearcase is sealed, so it can be driven in places with a lot of sand and dust, such as parking lots.

Three-part gear case for significantly improved maintenance. The differential can be easily accessed by removing the cap on the rear side.

The slimmed main chassis balances the rigidity and is optimized for RWD drift driving.
