This aluminum mounting adapter holds the lower rear shock of the RD2.0. By increasing the rigidity of the shock mounting, it improves operating precision and increases road-following performance against minor vibrations. It is also heavier than the standard plastic one, which tends to increase the unsprung load and traction.
